I have been speaking about how to make money on YouTube a few times before. The first time was over here, at my Swedish blog. The second time was in my Squdioo Lens that has not even been indexed by Google. The third time was over here, at my other Swedish blog. This is the 4th time I'm going to speak about how to make money on YouTube. I'm doing it here, at my blogger blog - just for the blog to gain a higher PR. The blog has a PR of 0 right now, and I really want it to rise to 2 or 3 at least. I'm contributing with as much content as possible!
In my earlier articles, I told you that you could make money on YouTube by either becoming a YouTube partner, or by promoting your website in your YouTube video. Well, in this article I'm going to speak a bit more about promoting your website. I've seen a lot of people doing it - but they all do it the wrong way. Nobody really promotes their website the right way. They all do it wrong.
When you promote your website on YouTube, you do not copy and paste the link into every single comment field. That is considered as spam, and within days, those comment will be removed. Do not buy some "YouTube Commenting Software" just to spam the heck out of YouTube. That won't get you any visitors at all, and all you do is to waste your time. Do it legally instead, and do it right.
When you upload your video to YouTube, you get the chance to write a video description. A video description that is going to tell your viewers what the video is about. Don't misuse that field, and spend the text area wisely. Simply tell your viewers what the video is about, and in the bottom of it all - paste your URL. It's not as hard as you may think it is. All you have to do is to describe your video, and then paste a link to your website in the bottom of the description.
What you should not do when promoting your website on YouTube...
- Do not, under any circumstances, spam. If you spam, then YouTube may sue you since spamming is illegal. By spamming, you don't just do something illegal - you're being an ass. You piss people off, and your IP may get banned from YouTube.
- Do not send friend requests to people that you do now know. Sending huge amounts of friend requests to people that you do not know will get you banned. I got banned for doing that once.
- Do not send private messages to other users on YouTube telling them to visit your website. That does not work. It is considered as spam, and you will get your account banned in a matter of seconds.
